Dear L&S Clients and Community,
We are writing to share an important update with our community. L&S will be officially closing in April.
As many of you know, Sarah has recently moved to New York City and is no longer taking on clients, and Leyla will be going on maternity leave beginning in April. After much reflection, we’ve decided that this is the right time to close this chapter of L&S.
If you are interested in educational therapy sessions with Leyla prior to April, you are still welcome to reach out via email at Leyla@lsedconsultants.com. In the event you need to get in touch with Leyla with questions after April, she will be checking her email sporadically throughout her maternity leave.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has crossed our paths along the way. It has been an absolute privilege to work with you, your families, and this incredible community. Thank you for trusting us and for being such an important part of L&S. We will always cherish the time we’ve had together.
With much love and gratitude,
Leyla & Sarah
Does your child need us?
· Are you looking to boost your child's ability to focus in school?
· Would your child benefit from learning executive functioning skills?
· Would your child benefit from learning decision making/ organizational skills?
· Would your child benefit from adaptive behavior skills?
· Would your child benefit learning prevocational skills?
If yes,
Leyla and Sarah are both Special Education Teachers who met while working as Resource Specialist Providers. They quickly became a dynamic duo with a shared passion and love for special education, and a drive that could not be stopped. Leyla and Sarah worked together to provide the best educational opportunities for all students, took a holistic approach to create an individual plan for each child, and became cherished advocates for families throughout the IEP process. Their extensive knowledge on best practices, alternative curriculum, and behavioral supports set them aside from their colleagues. Leyla and Sarah are taking the next step in assuring all children with special needs are included, advocated for, and working to their highest potential.
“Leyla and Sarah are two of the most devoted educators, always going above and beyond for their students and their families, but they are invested in taking a holistic approach to teaching, allowing students to reach their highest potential academically, emotionally, socially and functionally.” -Lauren Harvey, Teacher at KIPP Raices Academy
